Rodri insists Manchester City must”wake up” after their shock defeat at Norwich.
The Canaries stunned the Premier League winners since they won 3-2 at Carrow Road in the game on Saturday despite lacking a host of players.
Pep Guardiola’s side were guilty of lots of defensive mishaps – together with the guide then 33, Kenny McLean nodding Norwich before he was picked out unmarked from a corner.
Sergio Aguero pulled back for the visitors before the break only for Emi Buendia, who then squared to restore a cushion to robs of possession on the edge of their own box Nicolas Otamendi.
A big-money summer stretches from Atletico Madrid, rodri, fired in a consolation as Norwich hung on to depart Manchester City of leaders Liverpool.
“I think we lost this match because of us,” that the Spain midfielder told City’s web site.
“I believe they do not do a lot of things to win this match. Of course they play very great soccer, but now we gave them chances.
“That is something we have to appear at ourselves and solve our errors. It is not ordinary. The 3 goals are errors.
“The group is functioning, we’re down now but we must wake up since we’ve games every three times.”
Guardiola said after the game that it is too early in the season to take into account the defeat for a blow to their quest – something Rodrigo consented with.
“The season is long,” he said.
“You are going to get matches such as this, at least 2 or three. It is normal. We are not ideal, and the great thing is we are at the start of the year not the end.
“That’s the only positive thing we can say. We are just five points behind the leaders and that’s bad news but we are working and we’ll keep pushing.”
