UFC 231 Holloway vs Ortega: Odds, Picks, and Predictions

Posted on: November 1st, 2019 by admin

This weekend from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, we have the opportunity to witness none but two UFC world title fights which have been in the making for quite a while.
In the co-main occasion, for Bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko squares off opposite former several time Strawweight women’s winner, Joanna Jedrzyczyk for its new and empty women’s 125 pound Flyweight domain strap.
These two girls have a friendly rivalry that dates back for their amateur fighting days in the European Muay Thai Championships. Valentina managed to come out on top every battle, albeit with more experience each time and she’s the larger fighter.
More on the dimensions gap later.
The main event may feature the most anticipated fight of 2018! I know that the declaration, however, think about it. Minus Conor vs Khabib, there is not a fight I was more hyped for than that one all year.
Jon Jones’s return will, undoubtedly, be pretty awesome but this is actually the next time these two guys have gone through a full battle camp in preparation for their fight. The first time around, Max Holloway was pulled out of the competition at the last minute by the athletic commission for weight cutting problems.
Many fans and media are still speculating as to what’d Max sounding so punchy and slurred in interviews preceding that potential first fight w Ortega back on July 4th of this year.
